It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Joseph Toohey in Sulphur, Louisiana, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Toohey and Margaret Toohey; his wife Mary Vitolo Toohey; his daughter Nora Rodin; his siblings, Agnes, Betty, Margaret, Jean, Joan, Frank, Thomas, Peter, James and Bobby; and his stepfather Eugene Mooney.
He is survived by : his close friend Mary Vitolo; his son John J. Toohey; his grandchildren, Dustin Rodin, Shawn Toohey and Jennifer Wray; his great grandchildren, Josalyn Wray and Jemma Wray; and his sister-in-law Peggy Toohey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
