He was predeceased by: his parents, John Michael and Lenia Nugent; his wife Rita Joyce Nugent; his sisters, Marceline Rabalais and Helen Mayeaux; and his nephew Michael Rabalais.
He is survived by: his niece Melinda Wald (Kevin) of Gonzales, Louisiana; and his nephews, Gary Mayeaux (Denise) of Pineville and Randy Mayeaux of Bunkie, Louisiana..
