It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leland Young of Sulphur, Louisiana, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Wayne Young and Laura "Nell" Self. He is survived by: his wife Chyrel Young; his children, Cody Paul Goodfriend (Melissa), Kaylie Goodfriend Stetz (Tanner), Quinn Stetz, Lillyah Goodfriend, Clare Goodfriend, Cain Goodfriend and Justin Young (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Alyssa Young and Aaron Young; his siblings, Joy Mahaffey (Corky) and Derrell Young; and his stepfather George Self.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home - Sulphur (107 W Napoleon St, Sulphur, LA 70663). A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
