It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Mae Parker Dugas (Sulphur, Louisiana), born in Oakdale, Louisiana, who passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Elridge Dugas Jr.; her children, Suzette Marie and Philip Andre'; her sister Mary Jo Parker Ballard; and her parents, Rena Mary and William Phillip "Bill" Parker.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Mary Ann Babaz (Carlos), Bill Ballard, Bryan Ballard (Kymberly), Paul David (Juanita), Gerald David (Tressa), Karen Faber (Kyle), Dale Broussard (Mary), Michael Broussard (Loretta) and Sandra Myers (Jerry). She is also survived by 22 great nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Church or United Mitochondrial Foundation (UMDF).
