Olivia Mae Richard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Olivia Mae Richard of Sulphur, Louisiana, born in Beaumont, Texas, who passed away on October 21, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lennis Abshire and Beulah Broussard Abshire; her son John McFarlain; her sister Shirley Ann Abshire Perry; her daughter Bell Ann McFarlain; and her brothers, James Abshire, Sr. and Leonard Abshire.
She is survived by: her children, Mariane Bittner (James Bittner), Elizabeth Thibodeaux, Jude McFarlain and Abe McFarlain; and her brother Gary Abshire. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur (107 W Napoleon St, Sulphur, LA 70663). A rosary was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home - Sulphur (107 W Napoleon St, Sulphur, LA 70663). A Mass was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church (602 N Claiborne St, Sulphur, LA 70663).
