Ruby leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ruby’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Bennett and Maudie Atwell Bennett; and her brother James Carman Lancaster. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Carman Lancaster; her brother Allen Bennett; her sister-in-law Dottie Harrington; and her friends, Evie Dowers, Brandon and Wendy Aguillard.

They enjoyed donating their time to help build homes across the country with Habitat for Humanity.
