She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Celestine; her son Aaron Celestine; her grandson Darrell Celestine; her great grandchild Kendra Celestine; her stepfather Lester Arvie; and her siblings, Lucille Williams, Robert Garner, Bettie Carter, Eva Garner and Rosie Lee Young.

She is survived by: her children, Vinetta Celestine Briscoe, Willie Celestine and Richard Joseph Celestine (Loretta); her sister Hazel Bell Green; and her grandchildren, Carlton (Crystal), Vernon Briscoe, Kandies Victorian (Joe), Ashleigh Mason (Conrad), Yolanda of Monique, L. P., Jessica, Jalisa, Josette, Janay, Barry Celestine (Thera) and Jillian Duncan (Chris). She is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
