He is survived by: his children, Amy Darbonne (Thomas) of Lake Charles, Charles Mier (Ashley) of Sulphur and Ted Mier, IV of Welsh; and his siblings, Beverly Thornton, Wilbert Mier, Jr., Aledia Frazier, Donald Mier, Robert Mier and Roy Lee Aucoin. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
