He was predeceased by: his son Eugene Joseph Godfrey, Jr.; his parents, George Albert Godfrey and Dolores Ivory Godfrey; and his siblings, Ronald Godfrey, Ericck Peter Godfrey, Sr., Alvin Martin Godfrey and Dolores Theresa Godfrey.
He is survived by: his significant other Lorraine Melanson; his sons, Adam Godfrey of New Orleans and Aaron Henderson of New Orleans; his daughter-in-law Angela Godfrey of Baton Rouge; his siblings, Albert Richard Godfrey of New Orleans, Emile Anthony Godfrey, Sr. (Brenda) of Irvin, TX and Ann Godfrey Williams (Izell) of New Orleans; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Godfrey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
