She was predeceased by: her husband Troy Thompson Jr.; her children, Merle Reece and Troy Thompson III; and her parents, James "Casey" Jones and Merle Johnston Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Martha Thomassie (Tommy), Millie Eichler and Thaddeus "T. Ben" Thompson (Kim); her children-in-law, David Reece Sr. and Allison Thompson; her grandchildren, David Jr., Benjamin, Abigail Brewer Reece, Jonathan, Hannah Reece, Tommy, Michael, Anna Thomassie Soniat, Maria Thomassie, Laura Leigh Buisson, Troy IV, John Thompson, Casey Ann Geerts, Lee, William, James Eichler, Nathaniel, Joshua and Timothy Thompson; and her siblings, Ann Jones Daigle, Jimmy, Johnny and Jerry Jones. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who saw her as a second mom.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made towards the Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana Thompson Family E.D.W. endowed fund or the St. Joseph School Library in Alice's name and memory.
