We are sad to announce that, on March 13, 2026, at the age of 62, Douglas Ber (Thibodaux, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Douglas may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Judith Simmons. He is survived by: his spouse Leslie Chauvin Ber; his father Sheard A. Ber; his stepmother Debra Ber; and his siblings, Michael Ponder (Marissa), Benjamin Ber (Jaime), Bonnie Ber Kern (Kevin), Monica Ber Wood (Mark) and Lauren Ber Litchfield (Michael). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
