It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Matthews Lloyd of Thibodaux, Louisiana, who passed away on April 17, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sr. Matthews and Ertha Shanklin Matthews; her children, Beryl Ann Kennedy, Carla Faye Shelvy and Oliver Carlton Lloyd; her siblings, Felton, Clarence, Jr. and Albertha Matthews Autry; her grandmother Bessie Placide; her great-grandparents, Willie and Bertha Anderson; and her aunt Dorothy England.
She is survived by: her husband Oliver Lloyd, Jr.; her children, Royal Shelvy, Sr. of Thibodaux, LA, Ronald Ray Shelvy (Angela) of Mobile, Alabama., Cheryl Sears (Jose) of Bridge City, LA and Carlette Lloyd of Thibodaux, LA; and her siblings, Marion Alexis of San Francisco, CA, Yzette D. A. Rainey (Wayne Sr.) of Houma, LA and Albertha Joseph of Johnson Ridge.
