He was predeceased by : his wife Alice Breaux Bourgeois; his son Joseph Bourgeois; his parents, Emile Bourgeois and Bridgette Ledet Bourgeois; and his siblings, Guy Bourgeois of Joseph, Francis Bourgeois, Sr., Emile Bourgeois, Jr., Undine Bourg, Mae Bourgeois, Cora Lee Smith, Emiline Bourgeois and Beatrice Scott.

He is survived by : his son Duane "Boudin" Bourgeois (Carrie); his grandsons, Nicholas Bourgeois and Dylan Bourgeois (Michelle); and his great grandchild Mallory Bourgeois.
