He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvain Duet and Lucia Mire Duet; and his sons-in-law, James Sothern and Denny Martinez. He is survived by: his wife Georgette Hebert Duet; his children, Sheri Sothern, Toni Martinez, Craig Duet (Lisa), Darren Duet (Dana) and Lori Naquin (Todd); his grandchildren, Tyler (Elizabeth), Sydney Sothern, Whitney, Jake Martinez, Alexandra, Gabrielle Duet, Spencer, Carson Duet, Marcelle Garber (Jeremy), Madeline and Meredith Naquin; his great grandchildren, Liam Garber and James Sothern; and his siblings, Sylvain Duet, Jr., Jimmie Duet, Malcolm Duet, Delores Gaudin, Myrtle Gaudin and Hazel Toups.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Co-Cathedral (721 Canal Blvd, Thibodaux, LA 70301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
