He was predeceased by: his parents, James Maurice Danos and Ruth Bourgeios Danos; and his sons, James L. Danos Jr. and Marc S. Danos. He is survived by: his wife Jean Martin Danos; his daughter Rene Danos Yerby; his stepson Lyle Percle; his grandchildren, Ethan Cannon, Winton Yerby IV, Andrew Danos, Brennan Percle, Noelle Percle and Noah Percle; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Danos of Eugene and Horace Danos (Mona) of Thibodaux. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
