She was predeceased by: her son Dionne Cooks; her parents, Clima Cooks, and Walker Cooks, Sr.; her siblings, Joseph, Walter Cooks, Jr. and Betty Cooks; her son-in-law Eric Laird; and her nieces, Linda and Joyce Cooks.
She is survived by: her children, Trimichael Cooks, Cynthia and Jessica Cooks; and her brothers, Barry (Debra) and Larry Cooks (Brenda). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
