She is survived by: her husband Malcolm Cortez; her mother Juanita Schexnayder; her children, Jay (Angie), Ryan (Lena) and Jenna Jiggetts (TJ); her grandchildren, Addie Palmer (Joey), Kalie, Hailie and Cullen; her great grandchildren, JJ and Brooks; and her siblings, Linda Hebert (EJ) and Lorne Schexnayder (Deanna).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Laura's memory to St. Lawerence Catholic Church in Kraemer, La.
