He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Ann Joseph; and his grandparents, Ernest, Jessie Mae Williams Smith, Everlina and Lawrence Priestley.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle Matherne; his daughter Alexus Joseph; his grandson Kaiden Joseph; his brother James Joseph, Jr. (Catina); his father Felton Champagne; and his mother-in-law Brenda Matherne. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Vernon Methodist Church (101 Gray St, Gray, LA 70359). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
