She was predeceased by: her parents, Jules P. LaGarde and Camellia Bouterie LaGarde; her brothers, James P. LaGarde and Stanley LaGarde; her husband Joseph A. Bode Jr.; her stepson Joseph A. Bode III; her children, Byron A. Bode (Victoria), Paul K. Bode (Patricia), Paulette Bode Brown (Edgar) and Linda Bode Potter (Joe); and her grandson Mark A. Brown.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian G. Bode (Ernestine), Glenn J. Bode (Charlene) and Errol J. Bode (Kelli); her grandchildren, Alicia Bode, Damian B. Bode, Amber M. Bode, Blair Brown, Glenn J. Bode Jr., Jyra Bode, Brandon Bode, Errol J. Bode Jr., Lian Warner, Wendy Potter and Elizabeth Potter Dubois; and her stepgrandchildren, Joseph A. Bode IV, Alexandra Bode, Murphy F. Bode, Frederick Jones and Shantel Jones.
Interment: St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux, LA In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society or 988 Lifeline in honor of Leona's enduring legacy of compassion and service.
