With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louis A Erwin of Thibodaux, Louisiana, born in Fort Pierce, Florida, who passed away on December 11, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Erwin and Joyce Sloan Erwin; and his sisters, Mattie Jane Usher and Mary Joyce Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Knight Erwin; his daughters, Andrea Erwin Potter (James Carl Potter), Lauren Elizabeth Erwin and Alexandra Lea Erwin; his siblings, Sadie Lizbeth Joiner, David Lee Erwin (Darlene Ladner Erwin) and James Anderson Erwin (Kim Erwin); and his granddaughter Adelyn Elise Potter.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University.
