She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Gordon Smith Lobenstein and Robert S. Smith; her stepfather Eric Lobenstein; and her daughter Sara Sollars-Babin. She is survived by: her husband Frederick "Fred" Sollars; her daughters, Laura Sollars and Megan Sollars Mabile; her son-in-law Simon Mabile; her grandchildren, Cameron Sollars, Julian Sollars, Mina Sollars, Noah Mabile, Sara Margaret Mabile and Ian Mabile; and her great grandchildren, Avery Waltman and Elias Sollars.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the American Civil Liberties Union.
