She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Bouterie and Marie Bouterie (Lagarde); her brothers, Phillip Bouterie Jr. and Edwin Bouterie; and her aunt Amelie "Mim" Lagarde.
She is survived by: her husband Julius Barrios; her son Stephen T. Barrios (Joanne Barrios); her grandchildren, Jude and Alice; her son Scott Barrios, Chief Warrant Officer 2, USMC (Ret.); and her granddaughters, Cecilia and Gabriela.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Co-Cathedral (721 Canal Blvd, Thibodaux, LA 70301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hope for Animals, a cause close to Phyllis's heart.
