He is survived by: his wife Linda Gwosdz Melancon; his daughter Tammy Bourgeois (Charlie Bourgeois); his grandson Charlie Bourgeois Jr.; and his brother Richard Melancon (Gloria). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
