She was predeceased by: her parents, Davis Frye and LouEthel Frye; and her siblings, Helen Mae Coleman, LouEthel "Eula Mae" Frye Brown, Lillie Harry, Frances Hamilton, Davis Frye Jr., Lawrence Frye and Earl Frye.
She is survived by: her sons, Rickey Johnson Sr. (Maryetta), Timmey Johnson Sr. (Julitha) and Louis Johnson Jr. (Angela); and her siblings, Bishop Hurley Frye Sr., James Frye, Charles Frye (Gwen), Gerald Frye, Claudell Frye, Lionel Frye (Mary), Johnnell Frye (Renee), Olivia Boudreaux (Michael) and Mavis Williams (Richard). She is also survived by six grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren.
