He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Temple Jones and Earl Thomas Jones; his siblings, Patsy Earl Jones and Edwin Errol Jones; his granddaughter Allie Marie Boudreaux; his nephews, Jacques Bernard Favret and Jack Brannon Jones; and his pet Ethel.

He is survived by: his wife Elna Hardee Jones; his daughters, Deanie Jones Soignier (Rodney Denis) and Elna Clair Jones Boudreaux (Greg "Bud"); his grandchildren, Mark Denis Soignier, Blake Allen Boudreaux and Virginia Claire Soignier; his siblings, Lynda Jones Favret Boyce (Terry) of Mandeville and Gary Allen Jones of Alabama; and his nieces and nephews, Stacey Jones, Amanda Rose Jones, Hallie Jones, Allex Poole and Allan Poole.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church in Morgan City, LA and to the Aaron Family Jewish Community Center in Dallas, TX.
