He was predeceased by: his son Ross A. Callais; his parents, Richard Callais and Anacia Callais; and his siblings, Viness Callais, Hudson Callais, Richard "Peanut" Callais, Thelma Callais, Irma Lee and Rose May Serigny.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Callais; his daughter Evelina Bourgeois (Phillip); his grandchildren, Katina Day (David), Anthony Richardel and Allison DeBoer (Gabriel); his great grandchildren, Dylan Day and Marie Day; and his sister Patty Bruce.
