It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie J. Johnson of Thibodaux, Louisiana, who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Eula Mae Ward Johnson; his parents, Soloman Johnson and Evelina Johnson; and his siblings, Louis Johnson, Sr., Nolan Johnson, Sr., Lawrence Johnson, Sr., Geraldine Toups and Lois Ann Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Clarence Ward (Golena) of Thibodaux Louisiana, Nathaniel C. Ward of Thibodaux Louisiana, Kevin Ward of Thibodaux Louisiana, Sheila Johnson of California and Sharotta Barrow (Byron) of Joshua, Texas; and his siblings, Lloyd Johnson of Napoleonville, Tommie Johnson of Arizona and KaSharon Duncan of Houma, Louisiana.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
