It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zachary Shanklin Sr. of Thibodaux, Louisiana, who passed away on May 12, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Mae Shanklin of Washington; his parents, Samuel Sr. Shanklin and Esther A. Shanklin; and his siblings, Samuel Jr., Ernest, Eulas, Earl, Charles Shanklin, Mabel Jackson and Madeline Jackson.
He is survived by: his sons, Zachary Shanklin Jr. (Elaine) of Katy, TX and Jerome (Persephone) of Houma, LA; his grandchildren, Mahlika Shanklin, Zoe Shanklin, Zachary Shanklin III and Malcolm of Washington; and his sisters, Carrie Woods, Verna Shanklin, Joyce Shanklin, Esther Shanklin and Patricia Shanklin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
