David Carter Obituary

As David departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Carter and Luther Carter; his daughter Charla Smith Russel; and his granddaughter Marie Denham LeCourt. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Carter; his children, Karen Ann Carter Denham (Wayne), Kathy Marie Carter Skaggs (Tom), Diane Jewel Carter Kimbro (John), Sandra Joyce Clark Kuhn and Steven Lloyd McCullough (Fran); and his brothers, John Carter and Alan Carter (Dorothy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the River Fellowship Church (45173 River Rd, Hammond, LA 70401). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
