He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Holbert and Tressie McMurray Holbert; and his siblings, Ernest Nathaniel Holbert, Martha Graves, Genelle Patterson and Billy Holbert.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Forest Holbert; his stepchildren, Karen Kinchen Oakes (John) and Johnny Kinchen (Dana); and his siblings, Robert Holbert of Texas and Raymel Sisco of California. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
