He is survived by: his wife Vickie Lynn Messer of Turkey Creek; his sons, Daniel Messer of Lake Cove, Justin Messer of Lake Charles, Gaston Messer (Kelly) of Millport and Joseph Messer of Lake Cove; his stepdaughter Veronica Ware of Morgan City; and his siblings, Jimmy Messer of Lake Cove and Vernie Winn of Lake Cove. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
