Bob Folse Obituary

Bob Joseph Folse died peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. A native and resident of Vacherie, he was 90 years old.

He is survived by his children: Pamela Folse of Vacherie, Lloyd and wife Mary Ann Folse of Gonzales, and David and wife Cheryl Folse of Houma; and grandchildren: David Folse, Jr., wife Ashley and their children, David III, Savannah, and Lincoln of Denham Springs, Jacob Folse, wife Hunter and their children, Korbyn, Carter and Ava of Raceland, Jared Folse and wife Lindsay and their daughter, Louelle of Thibodaux; Melissa Jourdain and her daughter Amelie Jourdain-Lopez of Destrehan, Joshua Jourdain and his wife Erica, and their children, Nathan and Addison of Luling, and Jessica Jourdain of Kenner.

Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Lena Kliebert Folse; parents, Westmore and Stella Folse, and two brothers, James and Steven Roy.

He was a loyal and dedicated employee of St. James Sugar Cooperative for over 30 years, where he worked as Boiler Room Superintendent. He dedicated many hot summers to coaching girls' softball and cold winters to coaching boys' football teams.

Visitation on Saturday, January 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at Thibodaux Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA. Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, Thibodaux, followed by interment at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum in Vacherie.

The family would like to thank the staff of Audubon Health and Rehab of Thibodaux for caring of "Mr. Bob" for the past 4½ years, where he enjoyed the company and friendships of his roommates Joseph Paige and Spergan Broussard, and to the staff of AMG Specialty Hospital of Houma.
