He was predeceased by : his parents, Clinton Sutherland, Sr. and Marline Ferchaud-Sutherland; his wife Elaine Jones-Sutherland; his in-laws, Alfred Sr. and Rita Jones; his siblings, Joyce Sutherland-Geason, Allen Sutherland and Tyrone Sutherland; his siblings-in-law, Alfred, Cornel, Kenneth Jones, Meldon Borne Sr., Carla, Connie, Carol Jones, Stephanie Frye, Pam Brown and Cindy Sutherland; his great-nephew Tylen Oubre; and his great-niece Khalei Borne.

He is survived by : his children, Clinton "Nuchey" Sutherland, III, LaTasha Sutherland-Geason (Terrence), Ryan Sutherland and Nicolette Sutherland; his grandchildren, Ellayna Sutherland, Tyler Williams, Ni'Lasia Sutherland, Terren Geason, D'Earen Sutherland, Quan Sutherland, Cody Long, Jr., Tren Geason and Xoy Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Kacey, Kaztyn, Kross, Emerie, Kalani and Kaina; his siblings, Zedel Oubre (Harry) of Vacherie, LA, Eugene Sutherland (Marilyn) of Saint James, LA, Gerry Sutherland of Donaldsonville, LA, Herman Sutherland (Charlene) of Donaldsonville, LA, Mathilda Barnes of Vacherie, LA and Thaddeus Sutherland (Laura) of Vacherie, LA; his siblings-in-law, Brice Jones (Melissa) of Rowlett, TX., Andrea Jones of Waggaman, LA, Wendy Jones of Vacherie, LA, Clarise Oubre of Maryland and Cynthia Jones of Houma, LA; his godson Alex "Bojack" Ferchaud, Jr.; and his nephews, Mark Jones and Randy Geason.
