She was predeceased by: her parent Ford Lorio; her husband Sterling James Sr.; her mother Anita Woods Lorio; her parents-in-law, Agnes and Heedley James; her siblings, Anita White (Harold) and Chandler Lorio; and her siblings-in-law, Mathilda Jones (Howard) and Joseph Ivan James (Eva).
She is survived by: her children, Agnes Harris (Huey), Anjanette Wicks (Ryan) of Viera, FL, Michell James (Yulinda) and Sterling James Jr. (Charlene); her grandchildren, La Shell Christy (Joseph), Sterling James III, MiKhell James Sr., Trey Wicks, Cameron Wicks, Lauryn Harris and Eden James; her great grandchildren, MiKhell James Jr., Brynn James, Micah James and Braelyn James; her godchildren, Terrell Wilson, Patrick Wheelock, Jeanine White, Joycelyn LeBeauf, Barbara White, Irvin Mitchel Jr. and Michele Seymore; and her sisters, Diana Wheelock, Laverne Lorio, Sandra Scott (Vercy) and Denise Francis (Stacy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (13281 LA-644, Vacherie, LA 70090). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
