He was predeceased by : his mother Beverly Hotard Knight; and his brothers, Sandy "Bayou" Oubre and David Plaisance. He is survived by : his father John "Catfish" Oubre Jr. (Patsy Oubre); and his siblings, Faron "Bayou" Oubre (Selma "CheeWee" Oubre), Scotty "Scott" Oubre, Faith Plaisance (Arthur Doane) and Tessa Hymel (Antione "Moon" Hymel").
