He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Raphael and Archange "Dawn" Chopin Raphael; his brother Lynn Raphael; his parents-in-law, Herman and Gladys Ambrose Dumas; and his siblings-in-law, Harvel Landreaux, Carolyn O. Raphael, Dianne S. Raphael, Elizabeth and Pearl Dumas.

He is survived by : his spouse Marvel Dumas; his children, Makeia Bergeron (Quentin) and Leman Raphael (Adrienne); his grandchildren, Caihren Wood, Caiden, Chase Bergeron, Aria and Legend Raphael; his sisters, Patricia Landreaux and Joyce Celestin (Andrew); and his siblings-in-law, Herman Dumas, Jr. and Gilda Jefferson (Evone).
