He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl Rogers Smith; his son Christopher Smith; his parents, Oscar Smith and Florence Everett Smith; and his brother Ted Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Cassie Falgoust (Ted), Michelle Smith (Gipson) and Russell Smith (Erin); his grandchildren, Nathan Falgoust (Jessica), Haleigh Held (Johnny), Abbey Gonzalez (Ryan), Dylan Falgoust (Dusti), Samantha Oubre (Brad), Hunter Smith (Lily), Aiden Smith, Ryder Blanchard and Connor Smith; his great grandchildren, Collin, Evelyn, Julian Falgoust, Wes, Will Gonzalez, Meredith, Maci Kate Held, Adalyn and Ella Smith; and his siblings, Lloyd Smith, Marshall Smith, Tom Smith, Eillen Smith, David Smith and Emmie Pruitt. He is also survived by nieces nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the New Orleans Bulldog Rescue in his name.
