She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Pounds and Olive Pounds; her husband Donald O. Matthews; and her children, Craig Matthews and Barbara Wascom.
She is survived by: her children, Charles, Bennie Matthews of Varnado, Brenda Warren (Roy) of North Carolina and Donna Matthews Edwards of Varnado; her grandchildren, Dustin, Shaun Brauner of Virginia, Jonathan Edwards of Biloxi, Jennifer Pounders (Matt) of Angie and Britney Perrin (Jacob) of Franklinton; and her great grandchildren, Taylor, Brantley, Alyanna, Wyatt, Loghan and Ronan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 AM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Brown-McGehee Funeral Home (610 Ave F, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
