He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Stokes Thompson; his children, Everette Elmo Thompson, III, Curtis Damon Thompson and Rosyln Jill Smith (Bud); his siblings, Horace Thompson (Wanda) and Evelyn Beattie (Mike); his grandchildren, Lindsey Brooke Thompson, Brandon Tyler Thompson and Caleb Smith; his great grandchild Brayden Layne Thompson; and his close friend Matt Grissom.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Riverside Baptist Church (223 Jefferson St, Vidalia, LA 71373). A memorial service was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
