She was predeceased by: her husband James Jefferson Polk; her parents, Homer James and Etta Maureen Hansford; her sons, Morgan Nelson Ezell and Jeffery Todd Ezell; her siblings, Glenda Dale Epperson, Mary Louise Morehead, Emily Diane Wyles, James Marron Hansford and Billy Ray Hansford; and her granddaughter Brittany Angelica Ezell Martinez.
She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Martinez of Kilgore, TX; her grandchildren, Troy Bradford Ezell of Kilgore, TX, Scott Nelson Meadows of West Monroe, LA, Judith Nicole Meadows of Chattanooga, TN and Brooke Avant of Longview, TX; and her close friend Debbie Procell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
