The world bids farewell to Barbara Tarpley of Ville Platte, Louisiana, born in Fort Stockton, Texas, departing on February 24, 2026 at the age of 78. Barbara leaves behind memories cherished by the community. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willa Dean and Wayne Taylor; and her siblings, Suzanna Brumit, Lewis Satterfield and Bud Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Tarpley of Arlington and Sherri Cook (Charles) of Ville Platte, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Devin Tarpley, Madison Tarpley, Callia Tarpley, Raina Strickland and Payton Strickland; her stepgrandchildren, John and Ashlyn Cook; her great grandchildren, Layla Strickland, Payton Strickland II, Presley Tarpley and Paisley Tarpley; and her sisters, Billie Lindsey (Jimmy), K. Murry-Rocha (Francisco), Raedene Johnson (Randy) and Betty Hamett (Scott). She is also survived by her children and a caring grandmother to her grandchildren.
