He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Fontenot and Rebecca Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Guillory Fontenot of Ville Platte; his children, Luke Fontenot (Liz) of Youngsville, Daniel Fontenot (Penelope) of Dallas, Texas and Nicole Coreil (Chris) of Burleson, Texas.; his grandchildren, Blair Fontenot Perreault (Luke), Zachary Luke Fontenot (Paris), Jacob Seth Fontenot, Brandon Coreil (Kaylynn), Rebecca Coreil, Nicholas Fontenot, Andrew Fontenot and Sophia Fontenot; his siblings, John Clyde Fontenot (Julia), Donald Ray Fontenot (Beth), Catherine Fontenot (Michael), Pat Staude (Stan) and Freida Keller (Ed); and his brother-in-law Todd Guillory (Jessica). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (708 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
