With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald James Bourque of Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adonaise Bourque and Lillian Catoire Bourque; and his wife Debra Kay Bourque. He is survived by: his sons, Donald Shane Bourque of Ville Platte, Jeremy Scott Bourque (Heidi) of Ville Platte and Colby Flynn Bourque (Robin) of Belaire Cove; his siblings, Stephen Bourque of Ville Platte, Inez Bourque of Grand Prairie, Hazey Fontenot of Ville Platte and Wavey Vidrine of Grand Prairie; his grandchildren, Tristen James Bourque, Tucker Shane Bourque, Kaitlynn Renee Bourque, Carly Lane Bourque and Bryson Scott Bourque; and his great grandchild Haygan James Bourque.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the LaVille Funeral Home (2353 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church (1012 W Dardeau St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (6011 US-167, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
