He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Fontenot and Versie Cole; and his stepfather Leroy Fontenot, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Fontenot; his children, Donald Wayne Fontenot II and Dawn Fontenot; his grandchildren, Liam and Layla Fontenot; and his sister Angie Nunez.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (709 W Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
