He was predeceased by: his parents, Atlee Peter Steckler and Joyce Rae Ludeau Steckler. He is survived by: his wife Carol Steckler; his children, Shaun David Steckler, Laura Elizabeth Steckler, Stephanie Sovet Steckler, Anna Katherine Steckler and Victoria Grace Steckler; and his grandchildren, Tristan Joseph Steckler and Brayden Youree Steckler.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (708 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 1:35 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (708 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
