We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2025, at the age of 96, Isabelle Deville of Ville Platte, Louisiana passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ortere Deville and Marie Edvie Chapman Deville; her husband Wallace Lavergne; her children, Patrick Wayne Lavergne and Jenny Bell; her grandsons, Christopher Lavergne and James Fontenot; and her siblings, Mable Fontenot, Hazel LaFleur, Adeole Deville, Emile Deville, Emily Fontenot and Mary Schexnayder.
She is survived by: her son Kim Lavergne (Brenda) of Gonzales. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel (2353 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (708 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
