He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Brown and Alex Fontenot Brown; his wife Nettie Aucoin Brown; his daughter Rachel Mouille; and his sister Earline Brown Guillory.
He is survived by: his son Troy Brown (Roxanne) of Chataignier; and his brother Nellard Brown of Ville Platte. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
