Leocarlie Leger Obituary
We bid farewell to Leocarlie Leger of Ville Platte, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 24, 2025 at the age of 93. Leocarlie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Leocarlie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Leocarlie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hillary Young; her daughter Janet Deville; and her parents, Eluse Leger and Lillia Doucet Leger. She is survived by: her children, Karl Young (Donna) of Opelousas, Curtis Young (Adam) of League City and Judy Scott (Albert); her sister Leanna Ledoux of Baton Rouge; and her son-in-law Michael Deville of Vidrine. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 8:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the LaVille Funeral Home (2353 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (708 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
