It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rumae Nell Andrus of Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Fontenot and Lena Soileau Fontenot; her children, Ricky James Andrus and Jeanie Lynn Legere; and her brother Joseph D. Fontenot.
She is survived by: her husband Jean Andrus; her children, Jean Batiste Andrus and Lisa Marie Andrus; her grandchildren, Kayla, Jonathon, Zane, Travis, Trenten, Tristan, Courtney, Victoria, Emily, Jade, Alana and Jenna; and her great grandchildren, Layla, TJ, Aiden, Emilynn, Emery and Elizabeth.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (709 W Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Te Mamou Cemetery (219 Snooks Rd, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
