He was predeceased by: his parents, Heard Sylvester and Marie Louise Ortego Sylvester; his brothers, Gene Sylvester and Karl Sylvester; and his daughter Dixie Lynn Fulford.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Sylvester of Grand Prairie; his children, Michelle Sylvester, Stephen of Prairie Rhonde, Casey Bertrand (Joshua) of Prairie Rhonde, Russell Fulford Jr. of Arnaudville and Christopher Fulford (Bethany) of Belaire Cove; and his brothers, Bennie Sylvester of Grand Prairie and David Sylvester (Lisa) of Grand Prairie. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
